A passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing in southern China after suffering a malfunction soon after take-off on Sunday.

The Shenzhen Airlines Airbus A330 bound for Xian issued an emergency signal about 25 minutes after taking off from Shenzhen’s Bao’an International Airport, according to local media reports.

The pilots were forced to drop to a lower altitude after recording cabin pressure problems at a height of 9,200 metres (30,000 feet).
