NetEase Entertainment said Chung had been due on set at 6am for her last day’s filming for a project in Xiamen but the hospital had advised she needed further observation. Fok also was reported to be against Chung continuing to work after her injury.

Later on Monday, Fok provided some details of Chung’s accident on social media platform Weibo, saying the entertainer had felt dizzy after going to the bathroom and had fallen, hitting her head against a marble counter.
Fok said Chung had called a colleague who helped her get to hospital, where she had a brain scan and other medical checks. Chung’s injury, on her right forehead near the eyebrow, was 6cm long and had needed 10 stitches.
