Kimberly Cheung and Nicky Chan chatted each other up beside the photocopying machine at church, but they kept their admiration for each other to themselves for almost four years.

Kimberly, an international school programme co-ordinator, and Nicky, a civil engineer, got married last Saturday at Kwai Fong Revival Christian Church, then hosted a banquet in the ballroom of the Regal Riverside Hotel in Sha Tin.

"I thought he was tall, dark and smart looking," Kimberly said of their first meeting. Nicky was impressed by her outgoing personality.

Although he had the hots for her, Nicky didn't ask Kimberly to stay in Hong Kong when she decided to study in Canada. He waited until she was back for the summer holidays to tell her he loved her.

"I used to have a list of what my Mr Right would be when I was in high school. When I saw Nicky, I knew he was the one because everything I had on that list was a hit, not a miss," Kimberly said.

Nicky fell for Kimberly's optimistic personality. "She is quite mature, independent, considerate and always supportive of me."
