Democratic Party candidate Josephine Chan Shu-ying says she will complain to graft-busters as "super seat" hopeful Pamela Peck Wan-kam is still using the wrong number on her election banners.
Candidates in geographical constituencies complained earlier this month that Peck was displaying No3 on her banners. A number is allocated for each geographical constituency in next month's Legislative Council election. Candidates for "super seats" - to be elected by a citywide ballot of 3.2 million voters - have numbers beginning with 8. Peck's banners should show No803.
Chan said Peck's banners were confusing voters in New Territories West, where Chan's slate has been given No3. She cast doubt on Peck's pledge to change the numbers on her 1,400 banners, made after the five candidates who drew No3 complained to the Electoral Affairs Commission two weeks ago.
"I don't think she is correcting them," Chan said.
Chan will take her complaint to the Independent Commission Against Corruption, citing laws against false statements about poll candidates.
Other candidates who drew No3 are also said to be considering legal action.
