Cityseen | Mainland actress Li Bingbing to be honoured by Madame Tussauds

Li Bingbing will be bestowed the honour of being the first mainland actress to be immortalised by Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, the wax-figure museum says.
Harbin-born Li, a star of Resident Evil: Retribution, rose to international fame for her performance in last year's Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.
At this year's Oscars ceremony she rubbed shoulders with Hollywood's A-listers.
Li was also the first Chinese celebrity to be replicated in wax for Madame Tussauds Shanghai. She flew to London for a four-hour sitting with model-makers. They took her measurements and hundreds of photos, and matched the colours of her hair, eyes and teeth.
Her wax figure will wear the sequined, floor-length gown that Lebanese designer Georges Chakra made for her red carpet moment at the Oscars.
Kelly Mak Yuen-han, general manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, said she was excited to add Li to the collection because of her elegant flair and her achievements in the international film and philanthropic arenas.
