Dot Cod has reopened with a chic new look and more refined menu.

Located in the basement of Prince's Building in Central, the seafood restaurant and oyster bar first opened in 2000, as the dotcom bubble that inspired its name was about to burst. But the restaurant lived on and, after closing for about a month, reopened on Monday last week with a bright, minimalist design and decor on the theme of marine animals.

The revamped menu includes sustainable fish options from Australia that are cooked to the diner's preference - thanks to environmentally conscious American chef Jeffrey LeBon. Customers can even opt to have their fish steamed Chinese-style with ginger and spring onion, although the chef is always on hand to suggest the best way to prepare a particular fish.

The much loved comfort dish Dot Cod Fish Pie remains on the menu. New dishes include divers' scallops seared with celery root mousse, and fillet of lemon sole baked with a crab, prawn, lobster, spinach and mushroom stuffing, served with a champagne sauce and topped with salmon roe and caviar.
