The exhibition area on the top floor of the recently opened Hysan Place mall in Causeway Bay was abuzz when Chanel booked the new hot spot to launch its latest Ultra ring collection.

Guests at the packed preview on Friday included Canto-pop star Joey Yung Cho-yee, models Kathy Chow Man-kei, Ana Rivera and Jocelyn Luko, and socialites Candy Law and Suki Tsui.

The minimalistic, contemporary black-and-white rings were displayed on the walls of the venue like works of art. Musicians playing electronic pop entertained the crowd. And Chanel sales staff were on hand to help VIPs try on the diamond-studded ceramic rings.
