You would normally think that well-heeled tai tais would be the popular ones at a party, but often it is the gentleman who attracts the most attention.
At La Prairie's concept store opening in Pacific Place last Wednesday night, many VIP guests and even shoppers passing by tried to get their photos taken with actor-turned-entrepreneur Michael Wong, who attended the event accompanying his wife and model Janet Ma.
The Swiss skincare brand booked such models as Lisa Selesner and Ana Rivera to help plug the products. Socialites including Jane Louey, Helen Rong and Yolanda Choy also turned out in support.
The ladies were given a hand massage to try out the brand's latest luxe creams made, of all things, from caviar extract.
Some might come back for more as the boutique now has a treatment room installed for facials.
