A 27-year-old man from Hong Kong died in a crash in New South Wales, Australia. Nineteen mainland visitors were arrested in Sheung Shui in the northern New Territories yesterday during the third crackdown on parallel traders in the past week. The 11 men and eight women were arrested on suspicion of breaching their conditions of stay following a raid on Cambridge Plaza in San Wan Road - about 700 metres from Sheung Shui MTR station, a haunt of parallel traders. Goods worth about HK$100,000 - including clams, lobsters, and cosmetics - were seized in the joint immigration and police operation.
