Singer-actor Aaron Kwok Fu-shing has been in high spirits lately thanks to his stallion Calling with Love winning its debut race last week.

The showbiz veteran just could not stop talking about the horse while at a watch function last week.

Kwok was the guest of honour at Swiss watchmaker Longines' flagship store opening in Alpha House, Tsim Sha Tsui. He was given a watch worth HK$186,000 as a thank you. Taiwanese model Hannah Quinlivan, who is the rumoured girlfriend of Mando-pop superstar Jay Chou Jie-lun, flew in from Taipei for the event.

Kwok might have been talking sweetly about his luxury watch collection, but he couldn't hide the enthusiasm about his winning stallion, revealing that it won him more than HK$200,000 in prize money.

"I wanted to buy Calling with Love some carrots and mints to encourage him, but I just have not found the time to do it yet," he said.

Other celebrity race horse owners who have been adding a touch of glamour to the racecourses include veteran crooner Alan Tam Wing-lun and actor Eric Tsang Chi-wai.
