If model Gaile Lai Kei-yi saw the announcement of her divorce coming, she certainly wasn't letting it show at the launch of Los Angeles fashion brand Juicy Couture's new collection, L.A. loves London.

The model stole the limelight at the event - held at Oolaa Petite cafe in Star Street, Wan Chai, last Thursday - after reports emerged that she was having an affair, despite her marriage to Canto-pop king Leon Lai Ming.

"I won't comment on those rumours because they're not true. I have no idea how [the paparazzi] can fabricate such stories," she said.

Yesterday, the Lais' management company Paciwood Music & Entertainment issued a statement announcing the couple's separation.

"Although they have had many beautiful moments in their life together … they have very different views on how they wish to live their lives. After cautious consideration, they both decided to separate," it said.

The couple started dating in 2005 and got married in 2008 in Las Vegas.
