American fashion brand Marc by Marc Jacobs has shown faith in the buying power of mainland travellers. Adding to its fashion and accessories counter in Lane Crawford, the brand opened a second retail space on Friday in Causeway Bay's Times Square - a popular destination for mainland shoppers.
The opening of the boutique in the mall was attended by Taiwanese heart-throb Wu Chun, who flew in from Taipei, and local actress-turned-singer Linda Chung Ka-yan.
Wu and Chung entertained guests by playing on the fact they look so alike they could be brother and sister.
Chung was intrigued to be finally meeting Wu - whose own fans once mistook her for the actor when she had short hair - and wanted to assess how strong the resemblance was in person.
Wu, who turns 33 tomorrow, celebrated his birthday early with Chung as fans waited for him eagerly outside the store.
