A collaboration between a Swiss luxury watch producer and an Italian sports carmaker sounds like a winning formula.
So when Hublot unveiled its Big Bang Ferrari Magic Gold watch at Central's Landmark mall on Monday, the cocktail reception attracted a slew of both watch and car enthusiasts.
Designed in partnership with Ferrari, the watch features a rotating axis which mimics the pedals of a car, and interchangeable straps inspired by a seat belt.
The timepiece, along with other new Hublot models, will be on display at the mall until Friday.
Action movie star Donnie Yen Ji-dan, a special guest at the event, revealed that he would be driving a Ferrari in his next film, The Iceman Cometh 3D. The production is a remake of the 1989 sci-fi action classic starring Maggie Cheung Man-yuk, Yuen Biao and Yuen Wah.
Yen will play the lead role and choreograph the movie's action scenes. Filming will take place in several of the city's downtown locations.
