SCMP.com swept multiple awards at WAN-IFRA’s Asian Digital Media Awards on Wednesday, including first place for best online media in the category of newspaper websites and another gold award for best online video.
"This is very exciting and an encouraging acknowledgement for a newspaper website which was re-launched only three months ago and switched to a metered model six weeks ago,” said the South China Morning Post's Online Editor Wang Feng.
“We have been able to do wonderful things with the new site, but it is such a delight to be recognised in such a big way by our esteemed colleagues and industry experts.
“We have a great team of journalists and digital miracle workers. They deserve all the honour."
