Vaping may come to an end in Hong Kong. Vapers beware! Hong Kong is preparing to impose a ban on “alternative smoking products”, with a maximum penalty of six months’ imprisonment and a fine of HK$50,000.
A bill to amend the Smoking Ordinance, targeting e-cigarettes, heat-not-burn products, and herbal cigarettes, was submitted to the Legislative Council by the government on Wednesday, and will have its first reading on February 20.

According to the bill, anyone who brings in, imports, manufactures, sells, distributes, possesses, or promotes alternative smoking products could face a fine or imprisonment.
Advertising such alternative smoking products could lead to a maximum fine of HK$50,000.
