Town Gas is proposing to raise its tariffs by 4.6 per cent from April 1. The company said about 70 per cent of households would not have to pay more than HK$10 extra per month after the adjustment and about 50 per cent of non-residential users will not have to pay more than HK$300 extra. It said the rise was proposed due to higher operational costs and there would be no more increases within two years.
