Australian toddler dies after fall from window
A three-year-old Australian girl died after she fell from the window of her second-floor bedroom at block two of Pacific View, Stanley at about 6pm last night. She was found lying in the garden area of the Tai Tam Road property and was certified dead at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital.
 
Balloon-crash victims' bodies returning to HK
The bodies of the nine Hongkongers who died in the Egypt hot-air balloon crash two weeks ago were yesterday put on a plane bound for the city. The flight, going from Cairo via Zurich to Hong Kong, will arrive tomorrow. The bodies will be kept in the Kwai Chung Public Mortuary.
 
Supplier raises price of beef used in hot pot
The city's sole distributor of mainland beef, Ng Fung Hong, has raised the wholesale price of fresh fatty beef, used in hot pot, by 4.18 per cent to HK$4,490 per 60kg. It said increased demand on the mainland had pushed up the price. Traders said fatty beef constitutes about 20 per cent of all beef supplied to the city.
