Police have completed their investigation of a case in which a son is accused of taking part in the killing and dismemberment of his parents.
The case will head to Eastern Court next month for committal proceedings, where the magistrate will decide if there is a strong enough case to go forward.
The couple's son, Henry Chau Hoi-leung, 29, and co-accused Tse Chun-Kei, 35, were jointly charged with two counts of murder. They entered no pleas at a hearing in March.
They are accused of killing Chau's father Chau Wing-ki, 64, and Chau's mother Siu Yuet-yee, 63, in a Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon, flat on March 1. The defendants did not apply for bail and remain in custody pending their next hearing.
They alleged attack took place in a room on the third floor of a building at 38 Fuk Chak Street. The address was listed in court documents as the place where Tse lived.
Police discovered the bodies in a second-floor flat in Hoi Hing Building in Kok Cheung Street on March 15.
