Film producer Charles Heung Wah-keung's son fined for assaulting cabbie

The youngest son of entertainment mogul Charles Heung Wah-keung has been placed on a one-year good-behaviour bond for assaulting and using foul language on a taxi driver.

Jonathan Heung, a businessman, was bound over for HK$1,000 and required to pay a court fee of HK$500.

His father is a veteran film producer and chairman of Hong Kong-listed China Star Entertainment.

On February 4, Heung, 26, hailed a taxi in Tsuen Wan to go to Sheung Wan, Principal Magistrate Bina Chainrai heard in Eastern Court yesterday.

When the vehicle reached Gough Street in Central, a dispute arose over the route the cabbie had taken.

Heung jabbed the taxi driver's forehead with a finger and swore at him in Cantonese at least three times, the court heard.
