The case against Leslie Gordon was dismissed and costs awarded in his favour in August 2015.  Antonio Colaciello later, as part of a settlement between the two parties in December 2016, released Gordon from all claims relating to the loan agreement and guarantee.

An Australian businessman has launched a lawsuit in Hong Kong to pursue A$1.8 million (HK$12.6 million) in debts run up by the troubled chairman of a now-defunct Australian betting syndicate, a High Court writ shows.

Antonio Colaciello has taken his case to Hong Kong courts because the guarantor of the loan, pilot and businessman Leslie Gordon, is based in the city.

Colaciello is suing Gordon for the repayment of A$1.5 million plus A$300,000 interest after the borrower, Bill Vlahos, defaulted on the loan - taken out in June and due in July.

Vlahos "is currently the subject of an inquiry by Australian and international authorities into an alleged horse breeding, purchasing and gambling scam", according to the writ.

Vlahos and Gordon approached Colaciello, a self-employed concreting contractor in Victoria state, to borrow the money.
