Anti-Occupy activists outside its office are disrupting operations, says newspaper
Jimmy Lai Chee-ying's newspaper has asked the High Court to impose a ban on protests outside its headquarters that have interrupted its operations for at least three nights.
The newspaper, owned by Lai - who openly supports the Occupy Central movement - filed a writ on Tuesday after Deputy High Court Judge Kent Yee Kai-siu granted it a temporary injunction against the anti-Occupy protesters gathered outside its office on Chun Ying Street in Tseung Kwan O.
But despite the court order, dozens of protesters still gathered at 's entrance on Tuesday night.
They allegedly tore up copies of the injunction and stepped on it as the staff from the newspaper distributed it to them, local media reported.
An report alleged that a police sergeant told protesters they could refuse to receive whatever people were distributing.
