Densely populated Mong Kok is one of the busiest districts in Hong Kong and a transport hub to reach most of the territory. The district has been occupied by pro-democracy protesters since September 29, after police fired tear gas at demonstrators in Admiralty, prompting supporters of the Occupy Central civil disobedience movement to occupy Nathan Road, Mong Kok's core. We've dug into the Post archives to review some of the most colourful scenes witnessed in Mong Kok over the last half century (and beyond) as the district is once again at the centre of our photographers' attention.
