Charity run a healthy way for families to bond
Busy single parents take to the streets to spend 'quality time' with their families and raise funds

Yolanda Capino tries to spend as much time as she can with her 11-year-old-son Daniel - but it isn't always easy.
The Filipino mother has been balancing work as a trader with being both "mummy and daddy" to her son after his father left them six years ago. One way they have managed to set time aside for each other is by raising money for charity.
Tomorrow's "Marathon 2014" is perfect for them. They are being sponsored to run in their first race, a one kilometre family-friendly event taking place in Kowloon.
They will be running alongside about 15 other families eager to do their bit for charity while improving their health. Proceeds of the race will go to local charity Treats, which was set up to improve social integration among schoolchildren.
"We wanted to spend quality time together and we wanted to help," said Capino, 44.
She said that while she regularly experiences racism, she still feels part of Hong Kong society and wants to contribute to it and inspire her son to do the same.
"I need to stay strong and positive for my son," she said. "And make sure he stays healthy."
