Update | CY Leung’s daughter misses press conference to announce her big screen debut
Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying's daughter did not show up at a press conference last night to announce her first formal move into local showbusiness.

Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying’s daughter is said to make her debut on the big screen in a romantic comedy in which she will play a lead role that has been “tailor-made for her”.
However, Leung Chai-yan, 23, did not show up at a press conference last night to announce her first formal move into local showbusiness.
The film’s director had claimed she would turn up. Leung, whose personal Facebook and Instagram accounts have been deleted, could not be reached for comment.
The director, Wynn Lau Chun-fai, claimed Leung could not attend because of illness.
“She was already on the way, but suddenly felt very sick and could not walk at all,” Lau said during the press conference.
Leung was said to have signed a contract about a month ago that would give her a six-figure fee. Lau said filming would start in early March and would involve an investment of about HK$10 million. However, he said the title remained “confidential”.
