Hong Kong players' record-breaking charity drive is a slam dunk
Another Guinness world record was being set on Sunday as more than 1,500 players made some 73,900 basketball lay-ups within 12 hours in a star-studded fundraising programme for children with special needs.

Another Guinness world record was being set on Sunday as more than 1,500 players made some 73,900 basketball lay-ups within 12 hours in a star-studded fundraising programme for children with special needs.
The latest world record is the third by Guinness guru Brian Cha Chi-kin, who aims to challenge 10 records in five years.
Cha estimated that hundreds of thousands of dollars could be raised by the event, which would go to a private hospital's foundation to give children with special needs access to therapy.
"Not every participant is good at playing basketball, but we want to show the world that they can still make big achievement if they are willing to devote time and make an effort," Cha said yesterday.
"I hope that young children will be inspired by this message."
He also disclosed that the next challenge, in November, would involve rock climbing.
