This was the dramatic moment when an out-of-control car span 360 degrees and crashed into two pedestrians on a street in Hong Kong.

The white car veered across an intersection in Nai Wai, near Tuen Mun, on Tuesday before knocking down the pair as they reached a traffic island.

The vehicle then smashed into a lamp post, leaving debris scattered across the road.

Moments before the crash, which took place at 5.30pm on Shun Tat Street, the vehicle had collided with another car.

Video footage of the accident had been viewed more than 15,000 times by Wednesday after it was shared on Facebook.

A spokesman for Hong Kong police said the driver of the white car suffered leg injuries, while the two pedestrians - a 36-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man - sustained head and leg injuries.

All three victims were taken to Tuen Mun Hospital. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

Detectives were investigating the crash on Wednesday. No arrests had been made.
