The Hong Kong government has issued a warning against swimming on a full stomach after faeces were discovered at a pool in Tsuen Wan.

Shing Mun Valley swimming pool was forced to close today after the unsavoury episode, which involved a “small amount of faeces”, the government said.

The pool was due to re-open at 1.30pm this afternoon after a deep cleaning operation.
