Paris Hilton makes embarrassing blunder as promotional poster for Hong Kong Art Basel gig lists performance at ‘Art Basil’

The 35-year-old socialite made spelling mistake in poster for DJ set

She is not known for being the sharpest tool in the box, but on Wednesday Paris Hilton did little to alter her image as a ditzy American socialite.

Ahead of her DJ set at Dragon-i nightclub for Art Basel tonight, she posted a promotional poster on Instagram which embarrassingly listed the landmark Hong Kong event as ‘Art Basil’.

Thankfully, her caption for the picture correctly referenced the arts festival.

It read: “#HongKong! See you Tonight at my #ArtBasel Party at @DragoniHk!”

Despite the blunder, the 35-year-old heiress to the Hilton hotel chain received more than 11,000 likes from her 5.6 million Instagram followers within just four hours.

And no one seemed to pick up on the glaring spelling mistakes, which also included the lamentable line: “Dres to Impress”.

One Instagram follower wrote: “Damn that would be so much fun! Meet you there.”

Another said: “My golden girl!!!”

Dragon-i nightclub has been contacted for comment.

Hilton launched her DJ-ing career in 2012 at the São Paulo Pop Music Festival and has gone on to become one of the world’s highest paid celebrity DJs.

She previously made her name in reality television series The Simple Life with fellow socialite Nicole Richie and has made millions through modelling, acting, singing and various endorsement deals.
