Hong Kong-based photographers Tugo Cheng and Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze have each captured a mesmerising perspective on the city.

Jacquet-Lagrèze pointed his camera upwards and expressed Hong Kong’s verticality from the ground up in a series called Vertical Horizon.

Cheng took the opposite approach, investigating the city through drone photography to gain a bird’s eye view in a series called City Patterns.
