People’s Liberation Army truck crashes into Hong Kong bus stop
Photos show bus stop with roof tilting down and people dressed in PLA uniforms inspecting the damage
A People’s Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison truck mounted a pavement in Yuen Long on Saturday morning and crashed into a bus stop.
Photos of the truck circulating online show a badly damaged bus stop, with its cover tilting down, and a few people dressed in PLA soldier uniforms inspecting the wreckage.
The police said they received a report of a traffic accident along Kam Tin Road in Pat Heung, which is close to the garrison’s barracks in Shek Kong, at 11.45am.
There were no casualties from the incident.
The stop was used by KMB vehicles, though a spokeswoman from the bus company was unable to confirm whether it owned the stop. She said the company would follow legal channels to seek compensation from the people or organisation that caused the accident if they did own it.
The Post has contacted the PLA Hong Kong Garrison for a response.
