
Srey Mom, who was once tricked and trafficked to work as a domestic worker, has seen her childhood dream of becoming a teacher in Cambodia come true.

The two women are among six Cambodian survivors of extreme abuse who are featured in a photography book and exhibition being held from today to Thursday at the Fringe Club in Central, Hong Kong.
The “Women Who Shine X Hagar” exhibition reveals their touching stories, which represent women across the world who have rebuilt their lives in the face of incredible adversity and abuse.
Funds to be raised in the exhibition and the sale of books will go to help about 700 women and child victims humanitarian group Hagar aids annually in Cambodia through counselling, education and vocational training.
Hagar, a non-government organisation, has helped about 15,000 women and child survivors of human rights abuse in Cambodia, Vietnam and Afghanistan since its inception in 1994.
