Students from Hong Chi Morninghill School in Tsui Lam cried out in excitement when they entered the grand lobby of the Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel in Tuen Mun.

To support Operation Santa Claus, the annual charity campaign jointly organised by the South China Morning Post and RTHK, volunteers from the Sino Group of Hotels decided to treat 40 children with special needs to a buffet lunch and to organise a handicraft activity for them.

10-year-old Melody Lee held up a Christmas ornament ball she had put together and said: “I feel very happy today. I love the chocolate cake.”
