Hong Kong Streetathon set for April 10 at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal
Race, to support disabled artists and a youth running programme, will have 10,000 runners this year

Runners can look forward to navigating the streets of east Kowloon again in the annual Hong Kong Streetathon.
Now in its third year, the Streetathon will take place on April 10, starting at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal. It will include a 10km race and a 21km half marathon.
Anticipating strong interest from the public, organiser RunOurCity has increased the number of runners to 10,000, up from 8,000 last year.
“It’s going to be a hot day on April 10,” said Andes Leung Pak-hang, co-founder and CEO of RunOurCity. “There will be watermelons and ice cream at the end of the race.”
To reduce congestion at the starting point, Leung said there will be different starting zones for runners of different speeds. Starting time for the two categories of race will also be set apart. The 21km race will start at 8:30am and the 10km race will start 40 minutes later at 9:10am.
Registration opens from next Monday and will close on February 26.
