Ahead of concert in Hong Kong mall, record-breaking Hungarian pianist says has no desire to challenge his own record
Peter Bence will perform at Moko over Easter and broke a Guinness World Record by hitting the piano keys 765 times in a minute

Arriving in Hong Kong ahead of an Easter performance, Hungarian pianist Peter Bence said he has no intention of resetting the world record he broke four years ago.
On January 14, 2012, Bence made a Guinness World Record of hitting the most keys – 765 hits – in one minute, meaning that he hit one note approximately 13 times per second with two fingers. The previous record was 669 piano hits in one minute.
Bence arrived in Hong Kong this week to perform at Moko shopping mall in Mongkok during Easter holiday.
“I don’t really plan to break my own record. It’s really hard. It’s dangerous for your tendons,” Bence told the Post. “If someone breaks it, I may considering breaking it – [but]just for fun.”
Playing fast on the piano keys isn’t hard for him and it almost “feel natural,” Bence said.
Back in 2012, it took him two weeks of practising, repeatedly hitting the same piano note, at a risk of having tendonitis.
