Around Monday lunchtime, the airport on Lantau, the northern New Territories and Sai Kung enjoyed the warmest weather.
That heat led to a hot weather warning from the Observatory, as mercury readings topped 34 degrees in Sai Kung and Yuen Long.
At 1 pm the air temperature was 31 degrees and relative humidity 74 per cent. The mean UV index recorded at King’s Park was 12, graded as “extreme.”
