Update | Amber rainstorm warning as Hong Kong hit by severe weather for second day
Hong Kong Observatory warns of flooding in low-lying areas

The Hong Kong Observatory issued an amber rainstorm warning signal for the second time in two days on Wednesday as heavy rain continued to hit large parts of the city.
Hongkongers awoke to thunderstorms and lashing rain after the amber rainstorm warning was issued at 3.35am. It means heavy rain fell or was expected to fall generally over Hong Kong, exceeding 30 millimetres in an hour. The bad weather was likely to continue.
The signal was cancelled at 3.30pm
Earlier, the Observatory warned there could be flooding in some low-lying and poorly drained areas.
"Heavy rain may bring about flash floods. People should stay away from watercourses," it said.
Just before lunchtime on Wednesday, a 10-metre tall tree fell in Sai Ying Pun, injuring two people. It is unclear whether this was due to the weather.
