Do better: Hong Kong women pass judgment on men’s bedroom practices

Hong Kong men need to step up their game in bed as a survey found that about half of the women in the city are dissatisfied with their sex life.
Smile Makers, a company that produces vibrators, commissioned research company Ipsos to poll 500 Hong Kong women aged between 22 and 49 last month.
It found that 47 per cent were dissatisfied with their sex life, lagging behind Taiwan where 64 per cent of women were happy. Still, Hong Kong is ahead of Singapore where only one-third of women are satisfied, according to previous surveys commissioned by Smile Makers.
“One’s overall well-being can be very much influenced by sexual satisfaction. It helps boost emotional health and self-esteem, forming the foundation of healthy relationships and a positive outlook on life,” said Cynthia Ho, a sex therapist at Neo Healthcare, a health care consultancy.
“Having a hectic lifestyle and juggling multiple responsibilities is common among Hong Kong women. Naturally, this affects their libido and sexual satisfaction plummets.”
