Hong Kong recorded no new coronavirus cases on Saturday, the sixth time in seven days that there were no fresh infections, with the city’s total at 1,039.
Sources said the Centre for Health Protection would not hold its daily 4.30pm press conference on Saturday, because there were no new cases.
On Friday, the city’s five-day streak of no infections ended with two cases from a group of returnees from Pakistan. Health experts then warned that more imported infections were expected, and local contagion remained a threat.
