Hong Kong Observatory issues cold weather warning over low of 12 degrees Celsius in next few days

The Hong Kong Observatory issued a cold weather warning on Thursday over expected minimum temperatures of as low as 12 degrees Celsius (53.6 Fahrenheit) in the next few days.

Members of the public should brace themselves for chillier conditions, the Observatory said as it issued the cold weather warning at 4.20pm.

The forecaster recorded a maximum temperature of 22 degrees during the day, with the mercury dropping to 15 degrees at its lowest.

The temperature stood at 16.3 degrees at 4.50pm with a relative humidity of 85 per cent.
