Student’s operating room photo sparks Hong Kong medical school pledge on conduct
Social media user claimed to have completed six-week internship at Prince of Wales Hospital and uploaded several related photos

A Hong Kong medical school has pledged to strengthen measures to uphold professional conduct after an exchange student was found to have posted a photo on social media taken inside an operating theatre, with the hospital involved slamming the “inappropriate” behaviour.
The RedNote account holder claimed to have completed a six-week internship at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin and uploaded several photos.
One image partially showed people dressed in surgical gowns and some equipment, along with a caption in Chinese that said: “Surgery in progress. Can only photograph the floor.”
Other photos showed a staff card and colleagues.

The university confirmed that the exchange student had completed a short-term programme and had already left the faculty and Prince of Wales, a teaching hospital for CUHK.
