Crocodile discovered on balcony triggers arrest after 100 more reptiles found
Source says authorities returned to flat where crocodile was found and discovered more reptiles, leading to arrest of 35-year-old woman

Hong Kong police have arrested a woman after the discovery of a 1.5-metre-long (4.9 foot) crocodile on her balcony led to authorities finding about 100 more reptiles in her home, the South China Morning Post has learned.
A source said police officers and staff from the Agricultural, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) returned to the flat at midnight on Wednesday after finding the crocodile hours earlier, only to discover more reptiles.
“Officers discovered a large number of animals inside the flat, including many regulated endangered species,” the insider said.
A force spokesman said the animals included turtles, lizards and snakes. The 35-year-old woman occupying the flat was arrested.
The case was passed to the department, and the animals were taken away for inspection.
On Wednesday afternoon, a 66-year-old man reported seeing a green reptile on the balcony of the flat, which is located in a residential block on Tai Po Road in Sham Shui Po.
