An exhibition inspired by the Hong Kong blockbuster Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In has returned with an expanded showcase of traditional local craftsmanship, including a hand-painted flower board and an iron arch.

Deputy Chief Secretary Warner Cheuk Wing-hing, who chairs the Working Group on Developing Tourist Hotspots, oversaw the opening ceremony of the exhibition on Friday.

“Following the craze of the movie, the two previous exhibitions were well-received by residents and tourists,” he said.

“Visitors were reluctant to say farewell to the second exhibition, showing that the movie itself and the scenes produced by the team are very attractive. The exhibition is now returning to the original location of the story and recreated in Kowloon Walled City Park, which will surely attract more local residents and overseas tourists.”

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department would cover the exhibition in existing guided tours of Kowloon Walled City Park, Cheuk added.

The exhibition, previously held at the airport and a shopping centre in Kai Tak, reopened at Kowloon Walled City Park, where the “city of darkness” was located before being demolished in 1994.

The free exhibition is set to open to the public on Saturday and will run for three years, according to the government.
