Three people were knocked down in Mong Kok on Tuesday afternoon after two cars collided, sending one flying off the road.
The accident happened at the junction of Princess Margaret Road and Argyle Street shortly after 2.30pm.
According to police, a silver Mercedes-Benz heading towards Mong Kok along Argyle Street hit a black Tesla, which was heading towards Tsim Sha Tsui along Princess Margaret Road.
“The Tesla reportedly ran out of control and rammed onto the footpath, knocking down three passers-by,” a police spokesman said. “The trio and the Tesla driver sustained minor injuries and were sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.”

Separately, at 11am on Tolo Highway in Tai Po, near University MTR station, a white Mercedes-Benz rammed into a truck that had broken down and stayed in the middle lane for five minutes.

The 42-year-old car driver reportedly did not brake in time, though the truck driver had switched on the vehicle’s hazard lights.
The truck driver sustained serious injuries and was trapped in the compartment, until he was rescued by firefighters and taken to Prince of Wales Hospital. Police were investigating the crash.
