Body of half-naked woman found in Hong Kong restaurant under renovation

The body of a half-naked woman was found in a restaurant that was under renovation on Thursday, sparking a criminal investigation in Hong Kong.

Emergency personnel were called to the location on the first floor of the Honour Building on To Kwa Wan Road at 10.14am over a report of a dead body.

“An initial investigation showed the upper part of the corpse was naked when found,” a law enforcement source said.

He said detectives were looking into whether foul play was involved.

The restaurant was cordoned off as detectives worked.

A police spokesman said officers from the Kowloon City criminal investigation unit were handling the case.
