- Alan Woo, 42, is accused of pushing his girlfriend, 34, to the floor during a dispute in an upscale flat on The Peak
- The woman was taken to hospital for treatment while Woo was released on bail pending further investigation

The son of retired Hong Kong judge Woo Kwok-hing has been arrested in connection with an assault incident in an upscale flat on The Peak.
Officers were called to the flat in Orient Crest on Peak Road – where Woo’s son, Alan Woo, lives with his girlfriend – soon after 1am on Tuesday.
An initial examination showed the woman, a 34-year-old surnamed Cheung, was injured on her forehead, left ankle, left heel and right thumb, according to police. She was taken to Queen Mary Hospital in Pok Fu Lam for treatment.

The younger Woo, 42, a lawyer, was accused of pushing her to the floor during an emotional dispute over relationship matters on the premises and leaving the flat before police arrived, according to a force insider, who added that the man was arrested when he returned to the flat about two hours later.
The Post learned that the suspect had denied committing any offence, claiming that the woman had lost her footing and fallen to the floor because she was drunk. The source also said Cheung, who was known as Zhang Lihua before she changed her name, was the ex-wife of actor Marco Ngai Chun-kit.
According to the force, the woman was unfit to be interviewed because she was drunk.
Without revealing the name of the suspect, a police spokeswoman said he was released on bail pending further investigation. He is required to report back to the force next month.
