Hong Kong driver hurt after crash with coach closes off part of Tuen Mun highway

  • Police investigating cause of accident

A driver in Hong Kong was hurt on Sunday after his vehicle collided with a coach and led to a highway section in Tuen Mun being closed off temporarily.

Police said the accident, reported at 8.50am, took place on Tuen Mun Road near the district’s town centre.

The Mini Cooper driver, a man in his forties, was conscious and suffered head injuries, according to the force.

The Transport Department warned of heavy traffic on the Yuen Long-bound section of the highway, which reopened at 9.36am.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
