Hong Kong police have filed two extra charges, including one for alleged rape, against a 28-year-old student who is also facing separate accusations of sexual misconduct during university orientation events last summer.
The fourth-year Education University student appeared in Tuen Mun Court on Friday and was charged with one count of rape and one of indecent assault.
He was earlier charged with three counts of indecent assault and voyeurism.
Hong Kong lawmakers demand tougher controls on university orientation camps
The suspect, who has been identified in court only as YLH, was allegedly involved in incidents that took place on a Lantau Island campsite and in a private car between August 23 and 28 last year during university orientation events.
The man was arrested last September after police received reports from five women who accused him of rape, indecent assault and voyeurism. He made his first court appearance on September 9.
The case will be heard in Eastern Court on February 29.
