Hong Kong police arrest 2 drivers over fatal hit-and-run involving motorcyclist struck by private car following collision with cab

Hong Kong police arrested two drivers on Thursday in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident involving a taxi that collided with a motorcyclist, who was then run over by a private car in Cheung Sha Wan.
The motorcyclist, 56, was travelling along Lin Cheung Road towards Kwai Chung at 10.05pm on Wednesday.
He veered across a lane and collided with the taxi as he approached Lai Po Road, according to police. The motorcyclist was then thrown off the vehicle and hit by a private car, with both drivers fleeing the scene after the incident.
The force said the victim, who suffered multiple serious injuries, was unconscious when he was taken to Caritas Medical Centre in Sham Shui Po. He was later certified dead at 10.38pm.
Officers arrested the male taxi driver, 67, on Thursday morning on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, as well as failing to stop after the accident and report it to police.
