Hong Kong police arrest suspected parents of 2 dead infants found in glass bottles in flat
- Bodies of infants found by cleaner in separate glass bottles inside flat in Tuen Mun
- Police say 24-year-old man and 22-year-old woman arrested for preventing burial of bodies

Hong Kong police have arrested two residents suspected of being the parents of two babies whose bodies were found in separate glass bottles inside a rented flat.
Chief Inspector Au Yeung Tak of the New Territories North unit on Saturday said the bodies were discovered at around 10am on Friday by a cleaner tasked by the flat owner to tidy up the premises in Mei Hang Building on Kai Man Path in Tuen Mun.
A source familiar with the case said the babies were boys and there was a possibility they could have been stillborn judging by their size, adding that this could be verified through an autopsy.
“The two cylindrical bottles measuring about 15cm [6 inches] in diameter and 30cm in height were found in a corner of the living room and covered with a long white towel,” the insider said. “The bodies were found in the bottles with unknown solution.”

Au Yeung said no obvious wounds were found on the bodies and the cause of death would be determined by a forensic pathologist after an autopsy.
He said a man, 24, and a woman, 22, were arrested in connection with the case. As of Friday night, both suspects were being held for questioning. They were believed to be a couple who used to live together in the same flat, the inspector added.
