A minibus driver in Hong Kong has been arrested after his vehicle collided with a street-sweeping truck in the New Territories, injuring nine people.

Emergency personnel were called in on Tuesday after the vehicles crashed on Pak Wo Road in Fanling at around 1.44pm, according to police.

A police spokeswoman said nine people aged from 21 to 79 suffered minor injuries and were taken to North District Hospital in Sheung Shui for treatment.

The minibus driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Officers from the New Territories North traffic unit are investigating.

Separately, a motorist passed out at the wheel and crashed his car into a wall on the first-floor car park of a warehouse building on Wing Kei Road in Kwai Chung soon after 1pm.
